The Sciton Laser used at our facility is the most technologically advanced instrument available for “NO DOWNTIME” treatments for active acne, acne scarring, wrinkles and poor skin tone. The laser bypasses the surface layer of the skin (the epidermis) and obtains the desired results by heating the papillary dermis to stimulate collagen formation. The increased collagen in the deeper layers of the skin helps to increase volume and fullness diminishing fine lines and wrinkles as well as depressions from acne scarring. It also has the effect on active acne to heat the sebaceous glands to the point of decreasing oil production and killing some of the bacteria responsible for the inflamed acne lesions. After this type of treatment you will experience mild redness of the skin and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation in the treated area for approximately two hours. You will sometimes notice skin tightening sensation within a couple of days after the treatment but the full effect will not be evident for approximately 3-6 months. We always recommend a series of treatments for this procedure spaced 2-4 weeks apart to get the optimum effect.
VEIN THERAPY (Laser/Sclerotherapy)
At The Fountain we have two very effective modalities to treat spider and varicose veins. Depending on the location and size of the veins to be treated we will either use injectable sclerotherapy, laser, or a combination of both to get the maximum results. We can usually get the veins to clear or look greatly diminished in as little as 1-3 treatments. The state of the art Sciton 1064nm wavelength YAG Laser is the most advanced cutting edge technology and has the ability to selectively target blood inside the target vessels. It is therefore optimal for non-invasive treatment of small and medium veins on the face, legs, as well as other areas. This laser vein therapy is capable of bypassing the epidermis (outer layer of the skin) and penetrating to heat the blood in the target vessels until they coagulate. After this, the body absorbs the blood and tissue so they greatly diminish in appearance or totally disappear.
SCITON MICROLASER PEEL
The Microlaser Peel is the latest in laser skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. We use the most advanced Erbium Laser for the best and safest results available today. It can be quite beneficial in treating many effects the skin has undergone through the process of aging and years of sun damage. It is excellent for the person that wishes to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, acne and acne scars, poor skin tone, and effects from years of sun damage. From this procedure, many people find excellent results of smoother, softer, and clearer looking skin. At The Fountain we use the most advanced technology state of the art lasers for the safest and most precise and effective resurfacing treatment. After your peel you will find your skin looking healthier, more even colored, and many people feel they look quite a few years younger after the short healing period.
One 10 micron Microlaser Peel is the equivalent of 4-6 microdermabrasion treatments. After this procedure you will experience 2-4 days of redness and/or peeling as your skin heals and becomes healthier. Depending on the current condition of your skin and your desired results, we may recommend a series of treatments or a deeper peel.

SCITON CLEARSCAN 1064 HAIR REMOVAL
We have the most advanced FDA approved technology available today for laser hair removal. The laser used at The Fountain can treat ALL skin types safely and effectively. The wavelength used targets the hair follicle bypassing the outer layers of the skin for safety and more effective results.
There are three phases of hair growth: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. The only phase which the laser effectively targets the hair bulb is in the Anagen or actively growing phase. It is for this reason that approximately 6 treatments are required to produce maximum decrease in hair follicles at the target treatment site. We are able to treat almost any area of the body that has active hair growth for people who wish to decrease/eliminate the hair in these areas.
Due to the fact that a single treatment will not give the desired result, we always recommend purchasing a package which is most cost effective in reaching the desired effect. The treatments will be spaced 6-8 weeks apart. As there is no such thing as permanent laser hair removal, you may need a spot treatment every 12-18 months to continue the desired effect.
The advanced light treatments with the Sciton BBL (advanced form of IPL-Intense Pulse Light) selectively target melanin for dark discolorations or blood for red vascular areas of the skin (rosacea). The lesions are treated with short bursts of very intense broad spectrum light. The absorption of the light is converted into heat energy raising the temperature of the target area enough to alter and damage it leading to its elimination. Therefore, treatment with BBL/IPL is used to reduce dark pigmentation (sun spots) from years of sun damage to the face and chest as well as age spots on hands. We can also effectively treat flushing, redness, rosacea, and telangiectasia. An inadvertent positive side effect people often find is that there is improved skin tone in the treated area that develops several weeks after the treatment due to the stimulation of collagen formation.
To gain maximum desired improvement, there is usually a need for 3-5 treatments scheduled 2-4 weeks apart. Everyone responds slightly differently to the effects of treatment so it will be individualized based on your individual response.
